Close-up variation

If you fancy shooting close-up
shots of plants, still-life, products, insects and other small subjects, then this
PIC variation is just the right choice if you don't know how to begin. This variation's
programming is almost the same as the Landscape version because it too favors smaller
apertures to create a deeper zone of sharp focus and the shutter speeds selected
can be slow.
It differs from the Landscape
version by permitting the built-in flash to fire when low-light is detected by the
camera. To prevent the built-in flash to fire automatically, just slip an external
Canon Speedlite (switch off) to the camera's hot shoe. One Shot AF mode is selected
in this PIC variation mode. Available in all the EOS entry-level and amateur models
including the EOS IX and IX 7 APS models.
