However, one disadvantage of the
New F-1/FD lenses combination when shooting with color slides film is the exposure
increments used. The camera set shutter speeds in 1-full stop increment while the
FD lenses can set the apertures in half-step increments. The last two photos above
of the gallery are slightly light-tone as compared to the rest and they were due
to the exposure increment nature of the older Canon system.
The New F-1 gallery above does not imply that the Canon EOS System of cameras cannot
deliver the job, they all are capable of doing so. The gallery idea is to show that
it is to one's advantage of knowing how to use manual exposure techniques whenever
an EOS camera is not readily available.
