Sport: This PIC variation
is optimized for tracking any moving subject and AI Servo AF is automatically selected
as well as higher shutter speeds. The built-in flash will not fire in this variation.
Use this variation for shooting sporting events, such as motorcycle races or track
and field events. Can also be used for slower moving subjects, like walking and jogging.

Night Scene: This PIC variation
is specially optimized for night scenes, including slow-sync E-TTL illumination with
the built-in flash or EX-series of Speedlites. While advanced amateurs and professionals
know how to select the best settings for such situations, the EOS 300 makes it easier
for beginners and people new to SLR photography by incorporating this variation.
The flash is automatically activated whenever the camera detects low light level,
whether outdoors or indoors. Can also be fitted with external Canon Speedlites -
both the EZ (TTL) and EX (E-TTL) series for greater flash power.
