Skin tones tend to be warmer when subject is lit by daylight photoflood lamps.
Most colour slide films are of the daylight-balanced type designed to be exposed at light sources of 5500-degree Kelvin (white sunlight), daylight flashlights or daylight balanced Photoflood Lamps. A few are available in Tungsten-balanced versions, ranging from ISO 64 to 160 for medium speed films and ISO 320 and 640 for high-speed versions. Tungsten films are use for shooting in conditions lit with either 3200 or 3400-degrees Kelvin colour temperature light sources.

The colour balance and light output will differ with lamp configuration, duration of use and the applied voltage. It is essential that, exposure conditions be determined in relation to the particular lighting equipment employed.
