Ni-Cd Charger E1 and Ni-Cd Pack
E1

Both the Ni-Cd Charger E1 and Ni-Cd Pack E1 are designed exclusively for use with
the EOS-1 series of professional 35mm SLR cameras like the original EOS-1, EOS-1N
and the EOS-1N RS.
The Ni-Cd Charger E1 is a dedicated rapid charger capable of charging two Ni-Cd Pack
E1s by connecting its A and B terminals to two such packs. The charger automatically
charges both packs in succession, switching from A to B when pack A is fully charged.

The
charger can charge one battery pack in approximately 90 minutes but all my three
Ni-Cd Pack E1s were fully charged in about 60 minutes each. With each Ni-Cd Pack
E1 capable of a shooting capacity of approximately 40-45 rolls of 36-exposure films
and a life-span of about 500 charges, it is much more economical in using the pack
in comparison to eight AA-size Lithium or alkaline batteries.
The Ni-Cd Pack E1 is a sealed battery pack containing 8 AA-size high capacity Ni-Cd
batteries. The pack can be inserted directly into the Power Drive Booster E1 and
incorporates an integrated release latch just like a regular Battery Magazine E1
holder.
