What about the Panorama format?
The Panorama format available in all APS cameras is not a full-frame panoramic image.
When you switch to the Panorama mode, the camera will record the entire image as
a full-frame HDTV format. The Magnetic Data feature of the camera would record down
how many frames of a particular roll of APS film were shot at C, H or P formats.
When you send the film to an APS-certified lab, the printing machine can recognise
which frames have been shot using the Panoramic format and will automatically print
them out as Panoramic copies unless you specified otherwise. Yes, the Panoramic images
shot with any APS camera are the enlarged centre sections of the HDTV frame.

The IXUS M-1, like its other siblings in the ultra-compact IXUS series, is a
wonderful camera to use. It is one of these cameras that you can carry around wherever
you may go without the hassle of bringing along a bag full of equipment or another
large SLR camera hanging on your shoulder for places where taking pictures are not
a priority but more of a "just in case" standby equipment for the unexpected.
It doesn't matter whether you are an accomplished professional or just a hobbyist.
The IXUS M-1 is so compact it won't slow you down. In fact, you won't even know you
have a camera in your pocket.
