Printing of the date or time in the
bottom right hand corner of photographs using the built-in automatic calendar/clock
(up to the year 2029) is possible with a Prima Super 120 caption model. Three variations
of date/month/year setting are available, together with date/hour/minute.
In addition, the Prima Super 120 Caption allows users to print one of five pre-set
captions (in five languages) onto their photographs. Both caption and date can be
printed together or the printing facility can be turned off. The print option is
indicated on the LCD panel on the back of the camera.
The Prima Super120 Caption also has a Spot metering feature. It can be set from the
Best Shot dial by turning it to Spot. There is certainly a difference between the
exposures shot using the normal and Spot metering modes, as can be seen in these
four photos below.

The pictures shot using the normal metering mode are good but once compared to those
shot with the Spot meter, the whites are cleaner and the colors are much more vibrant.
The Spot meter mode can also be used for shooting subjects that are backlit.
Weighing only 225 grams without the two CR2 lithium batteries, the Canon Prima Super
120 Caption is light and easy to carry around everywhere you go, especially when
traveling. If you are also a 35mm SLR user, the Prima Super 120 Caption can be very
convenient when it is used for those occasions where carrying along a larger camera
is too much of a hassle.
