What was the reason for doing so?
Let me put it this way: the Prima Zoom 76 is intended for people who know next to
nothing about photography - those who want a simple yet easy-to-use model that can
give them lots of good pictures. It is not going to attract any advanced amateurs
and professionals. These two simple photos of the facades below, shot with the Prima
76, are also very unlikely to be of any interest to the type of users this camera
is intended for.

The Japanese GT car championship has a side-attraction on the day of the race (held
just hours before the real thing gets to be flagged off): pit lane visit by the spectators,
where they get the opportunity to pose with the drivers, cars and even the glamour
girls! No doubt some of the fans came equipped with their respective 35mm SLRs but
the majority of them had used nothing more than a 35mm compact or APS models and
some were seen with consumer digital cameras and camcorders. The last thing they
want (or hate) is to find out that the cameras used are not reliable enough for occasions
like this!
Potential buyers can rest assured that the Canon Prima Zoom 76 is able to perform
very well on occasions like the GT Festival. The first related activity of the GT
event was a Press Conference for the Malaysian media and meet-the-fans session that
was held on the same evening for the fans, complete with the teams' respective glamour
girls! As can be seen from these photos below, the Prima Zoom 76 does not disappoint.

The first photo was shot at the onset of dusk - the Press Conference was scheduled
for the evening and the meet-the-fans around dinner time. The lack of a slow-sync
flash mode did not allow a clearer background to register in this photo. Next is
the indoor photo of Team Calsonic's glamour girls, there is a touch of red-eye in
the girl on the right because I did not engage the Red-eye reduction mode on the
Prima Zoom 76. The two Western-attired glamour girls were from Team Nomad. And the
final photo of the driver inside one of the pits at the Sepang F1 circuit, was shot
on the following day, at the camera's 76mm setting and fill-in flash. All the four
photos were shot with the Prima Zoom 76's AUTO setting.
