However, other than action photography, there are two aspects where the use of the
pellicle mirror outshines all the other cameras, when it comes to capturing the decisive
moment or seeing whether your intended zooming effect is successful since there is
no viewfinder blackout when using the EOS-1N RS camera.
Like I said, the EOS-1N RS is a unique 35mm SLR camera. It may not be that practical
in certain situations but nevertheless, it is still one of the best AF SLR camera
ever made by Canon. In Malaysia, the price of an EOS-1N RS is about 40% more than
the standard EOS-1N fitted with Power Drive Booster E1.
Most of the accessories (except for the various power drives) that are made for the
EOS-1N model are fully compatible with the RS, like the Eyecup Ec-II, Ec-Series Focusing
Screens, Dioptric Lenses, Ni-Cd Pack E1 (for Power Drive Booster E1), Remote Switch
60T3, Wireless Controller LC-3 and Command Back E1.

And, unlike the previous Canon SLR cameras having pellicle mirrors, which were all
special limited edition models, the EOS-1N RS is a current, ongoing production model,
albeit at a lower number of units produced monthly compared to the standard version.
