3-point
active autofocus
3-point active autofocus means that the Prima Super 28 focuses on your subject,
even if it is off-centre. No longer do you have to position the subject in the centre
of the frame for sharp images. Focusing accuracy is increased by reducing the AF
beam angle for longer focal lengths, and by using up to 248 focusing steps. Central-1
point focusing and one-shot AF and servo-AF modes are also available, determined
automatically by the best-shot selection mode.
28-70 mm zoom
The high-quality 28-70mm zoom lens provides excellent contrast to bring out the
sharp detail of the subject. The camera's zoom ranges from the very wide 28mm setting
for landscapes and groups to the 70mm setting for close-ups. Electronic control of
the focal length is provided by a zoom lever - it takes only 1.5 seconds to move
from one end of the range to the other. Focusing is possible down to 0.45 metres
in the Close-up mode.
Best Shot Dial
The Best-shot Dial has six different functions to give you the ideal settings
for different situations. The Full Auto mode is good for snapshots and general photography.
Other modes are Action, Night, Portrait, Close-up and Spotlight. Slow sync flash
can be used with all modes, and red-eye reduction can be switched on or off as required.
