For stress-free
simple operation and high performance exposure in different situations, a large "Best
Shot" dial is centralized on the back of the camera with an LCD display for
simple operation. The Best Shot dial features seven settings: Auto, Night-scene,
Portrait, Close-up, Personal, Real-time release and Spot, providing the ideal settings
for various occasions. The Personal setting enables the user to select and store
a preferred camera setting.
The Prima Super 90 Wide features high performance hybrid 3-point AiAF as well as
easy-to-use real-image zoom viewfinder with a built-in diopter adjustment mechanism,
making it easy to clearly view your subjects.
The built-in flash unit, completely housed inside the top of the camera body, operates
automatically using the Auto Exposure program. The camera also features a mode button
for flash, self-timer and red-eye reduction. Exposure compensation can be set automatically,
or alternatively it can be done manually with a range of +/-1.5 steps. The shutter
speed range is 1/640 - 2 seconds in wide-angle and 1/350 - 2 seconds in telephoto,
while a shutter speed of 4 seconds in night mode is also possible.
The initial mode setting is determined by the "Best Shot" dial and can
be changed to select flash options, for both wide-angle and telephoto night scenes.
The flash will automatically adjust for the type of exposure detected such as low
brightness and backlit conditions.
The caption version allows for date and caption recording on the picture. This version
also has a simple to use remote control system that makes it possible for the photographer
to be included in the shot. The Prima Super 90 Wide measures just 117mm x 64 x 43mm
and weighs 250 grams.
