- EOS 66 is ideal
for the newcomer to SLR photography, with enough advanced features to satisfy owners
as their photographic skills develop.
- While retaining
all of the same basic features of its predecessor EOS 88, the EOS 66 offers additional
improvements to further enhance its ease of use.
- High-performance
wide-area auto-focusing
The EOS 66 has
a 3-point auto focus system with user-selectable focusing points. Each of the focusing
points can be selected and switched by automatic or manual selection. It allows users
to capture even off-centre subjects perfectly.
- Full range
of exposure control function
Exposure metering
is performed using 6-zone evaluative metering, partial metering at centre, or centre
weighted averaging metering system. In addition, manual exposure correction (+/-
2 stops) is also available.
- The E-TTL (Evaluative
Through-The-Lens) autoflash is linked to the three focusing points. It can illuminate
subjects with the correct exposure, even if these are to the left or right of the
centre of the frame.
Its multiple exposure function allows users to take double exposures or up to nine
exposures on a single frame
- Its Auto Exposure
Bracketing (AEB) allows users to hit optimum exposure even under the most challenging
lighting conditions.
Easy Operation
- The EOS 66 incorporates
a quiet film transport facility and film advance with a speed of one frame per second.
- It accepts the
full range of more than 60 EF lenses and many varieties of Canon system accessories.
- Two focusing
modes are available:
- Manual focusing
- One-shot AF &
One-shot AF/AI auto switching ó automatic selection according to the shooting mode,
tracking the subject until the focus is achieved before the shooting starts.
