CANON Puts Superb Image Quality into
a Compact Camera - the PowerShot S30
Canon's latest digital camera breaks new ground, designed for direct connection to
an advanced A4-size Bubble Jet printer for photo,printing. With the PowerShot S30,
it is now possible for advanced amateur photographers to print quality photos straight
from the camera.
This sophisticated camera creates outstanding 3.2-Mega pixel images. Its high-resolution
3X optical zoom lens, loss-less RAW image recording mode, new Digital Signal Processor
and RGB filter ensure the highest image quality and superb colour reproduction.
A rich set of features, with full manual and automatic SLR-type controls, are designed
to meet the needs of the most exacting amateur user. The well-designed two-tone compact
metal body with sliding lens cover has a wide, low profile and the camera fits snugly
into a jacket pocket.
The new PowerShot S series cameras are unique in that they are designed for photo-
direct printing when connected to Canon's new, dedicated BJ photo printer (the S820D),
or the Canon Card Photo Printer CP10.

Matching the functionality of a 35mm camera, the PowerShot S30 has 13 shooting modes,
3 AF modes, continuous, single and 3 selectable AF points (including AiAF). It has
a 3.2X step-less digital zoom (for 10x combined zoom) and a movie mode with sound
and sound annotations. Its long-life Li-ion battery, quick start-up and instant shutter
response ensure stress-free operation. The camera is compatible with Type-| and Type-||
CompactFlash TM memory cards, and has a full range of powerful software for both
PC and Macintosh, including the user-friendly Canon, ZoomBrowser EX, PhotoStitch
and PhotoRecord, plus ArcSoft's Photolmpression and Videolmpression editing packages.
