Canon MV400i, MV430i, MV450i

Unique features exclusive to the MV450(i)

Extended Recording
The MV450(i) includes a unique extended recording function that substantially increases the length of recording time per cassette and prevents the running out of tape at critical shooting moments. To achieve extended recording, 2x greater image data compression is applied in the ESP mode and 3x in the ELP mode. In ELP mode, an 80-minute DV tape will record 4 hours of video footage, 3 times longer than in Standard mode.

Advanced Accessory Shoe
With the Advanced Accessory Shoe, optional accessories can be mounted on the MV450(i). Once mounted, the shoe is capable of exchanging data and supplying power directly to all accessories with which it is compatible. The compatible optional accessories include the Video light VL-3 and the Directional Stereo Microphone DM-50, providing users with the ability to enhance both picture and sound quality.

Illuminated operating keys
Adding to the unique and stylish design of the MV450(i), the camera control keys positioned above the LCD view screen can be illuminated, therefore facilitating operation in low-lit environments. Users have the possibility to further customise this feature with a choice of the illumination colours: blue, green and turquoise.

Multi-image Screen
The MV450(i) includes a multi-image screen, which allows images to be played back on the LCD panel divided into 4,9 or 16 separate screens. Alternatively the camera can display a series of images in sequence. To select the images to be displayed, users can either make a manual choice or use one of the preprogrammed transition speeds: fast, moderate or slow.

New long-lasting battery pack - BP-535
Canon has also displayed its new bigger battery option - with the introduction of its BP-535. Providing users with the capability to record for 9hr. 30min without recharging.
