Canon introduces its new MVX1(i)
with 1.3 megapixel CCD
Canon Europa has announced the
launch of its new MVX1(i). With its 1.3 megapixel CCD, this new camcorder
offers the most outstanding image quality available on the market today. This new
stylish and compact camcorder further expands Canon's successful MV digital camcorder
line-up.
With its new design concept, the MVX1(i) is extremely easy to handle and comfortable
to use.
The unique tilting viewfinder and new rotating grip belt provide this camcorder with
outstanding shooting flexibility. While the compact size and curvaceous shape further
enhance the comfort and ease of operation for the user.
This new model also offers an ëií version, which provides users with digital line-in
functionality. With this feature, users can upload edited footage or graphics from
their computer, or other digital devices, to the camcorder. As the signal is digital,
the images can be transferred without loss of image quality.
This feature also provides the possibility to incorporate analog video data into
new digital recordings. Users can record images from a previously recorded 8mm/VHS
tape, onto their new long-lasting DV tapes, thus enabling them to save, edit and
preserve important and valuable video footage (The MVX1i model features Analogue
and DV-in/out, while the MVX1 features DV-out.).
Outstanding Image Quality - moving & still
1.3 megapixel CCD & Optical Image Stabilizer
The MVX1(i) is ideal for advanced camcorder enthusiasts and users who demand
a high level of image and colour resolution. With its new 1.3 megapixel CCD, the
MVX1(i) creates outstanding resolution for still images, while Canon's Optical Image
Stabilizer further enhances the quality of both still and moving pictures by solving
the problem of blurring at any focal distance.
With its megapixel compatible, newly developed bright optical 10x zoom Canon lens,
the zoom range of the MVX1(i) can be digitally extended to 200x - equivalent
to a zoom range of 48mm to 9600mm (optical 480mm) in 35mm film format.
Iris Aperture
The MVX1(i) has adopted the 6-blade Iris aperture from Canon's high-end XM1,
therefore creating beautiful images as if shot by an SLR camera. While the high refractive
index Gmo (glass mold) lens has also been adopted, from Canon's Digital IXUS, to
further enhance the picture quality.
