When capturing digital photos to the memory card, the lens becomes a 9X zoom, the equivalent of a 42.4 - 383 mm lens on a 35 mm photo camera.     2.0 Megapixel CCD - The MVX3i uses a powerful 2.0 megapixel CCD, combined with Canon's Optical Image Stabilizer, the MVX3i captures images with excellent clarity.     DiGIC DV - The proprietary dual-architecture Canon DIGIC DV imaging processor separates optimization for sharp movies and still images. Movie video images are processed by a system designed specifically for digital video and recorded on Mini DV tape. Image size is 1536 x 1152 pixels. High performance resize processing and high accuracy signal processing assure sharp, brilliant movies with colors true to the users'memories. Still photos are handled independently, via signal processing dedicated to capturing still images and recording them on SD or MultiMedia cards. Still image size is 1632 x 1224 pixels. The DIGIC DV chip's accelerated still photo processing speed allows the MVX3i to shoot up to 30 shots in succession at 3fps in VGA size. It has further enhanced still imaging by incorporating additional features normally only found on still cameras such as user-selectable 3-point Autofocus and Auto Exposure Bracketing. Another very practical benefit of DIGIC DV: while shooting movies, the user can simply press the still photo shutter release button to capture a still image simultaneously.     3.5" LCD Screen - The MVX3i offers you a crisp color viewfinder and a flexible, colour LCD screen.
